Today, I’m featuring our January Top Level Fitness Member of the Month…

Carolyn Witte

Naperville Personal Training client

Carolyn has made an amazing transformation over the last year in Top Level Fitness. Not only has she lost a bunch of body fat (she looks amazing by the way ),she’s developed a whole new self-confidence, she won the last years 6 Weeks Challenge, she brought her husband as a member (the awesome Bryan Witte, BTW he is awesome chef and cook very delicious meals), directly on indirectly she referred us at least 10 new clients, and has become an inspiration for her fellow 9:30 am (and not only) boot campers here at Top Level Fitness.

Carolys’s story is extra special and she’s got a very important message so please be sure to read the interview all the way through…

Congratulations Carolyn!!

1. What do you do for a profession outside of Top Level Fitness?

Flight Attendant and Mom

2. How long have you been a member of Top Level Fitness?

13 Months

3. How did you get involved in Top Level Fitness?

I received an e-mail about last year’s 6 week body transformation challenge. After reading the e-mail and listening to some testimonies, I decided to sign up for the challenge. (It was my Christmas gift to myself)

4. Tell us about your sports and fitness background?

I don’t have a sports background. I have always been active and gotten regular exercise, until I became a Mom and then didn’t have time for myself.

5. Take us back to your first workout… what was it, and how did it feel?

My first workout was strength training (2 circuits with 5 exercises each) I enjoyed the workout and felt pretty good. The next day (month) I was sore.

6. What is your favorite/least favorite workout exercise?

My least favorite exercise is definitely anything with the ropes, they are exhausting!

7. What is your strongest attribute or favorite workout?

I truly enjoy every workout. (Especially how I feel when it’s over!)

8. When did you realize that Top Level Fitness was right for you?

About week 4 of the 6 week challenge I knew that I would become a regular member.

9. What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting Top Level Fitness (before/after)?

The changes have been amazing! I have truly transformed my body over the last year. I have lost almost 20 pounds and 10{019a6cb0b70768d113d258b8e9390536ddf3ccb554e689564970a5272ba59677} body fat. I lost 7 inches around my waist alone and dropped 3 pants sizes! I also recently found out that my bad cholesterol dropped over 50 points. The biggest change however is mentally, I like how I look. I am now trying to purchase clothing that shows me off rather than covers me up. It’s been life changing.

10. What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like Top Level Fitness that were totally unexpected?

First, joining TLF didn’t just change me, but my whole family. My husband has also had great success and is now a member as well. My children are always talking about making “healthy choices.” One thing totally unexpected was gaining some wonderful new friendships as a member of TLF. I have also been very surprised at how many people have been influenced by the changes I have made in my life. The Mom’s at my daughter’s school, the people at my Chiropractors office and even my dental hygienist said that I had inspired them to get into the gym.

11. What is your favorite healthy food & “cheat” food?

We have really tried to transform every meal into healthy food and I LOVE all of it!! One of my favorite healthy snacks is raw almond butter on apples. As for a cheat food, I do like pizza on occasion. I also love a good cheeseburger (but done right, they can be made healthy!)

12. What is something that we don’t know about you? (Your hobbies, Interesting fact, accomplishment you are proud of, obscure/unique talent, funny story, etc.)

Three years ago I was diagnosed with a tumor on my Pituitary Gland. I had major surgery to remove the tumor. After going through an experience like that (with 2 young children at home) you gain a new appreciation for life and your health. I want to do everything in my power to stay healthy and live life to the fullest because it is a gift!

13. Do you have any advice for people just getting started at Top Level Fitness?

I think it is important to have a specific goal, and then set your mind to achieving your goal, NO MATTER WHAT! There are always going to be excuses and obstacles, but you can make anything happen, just take it one day at a time!
