This is one reason we have this member spotlight. It’s important to learn about members of the gym and be encouraged by their stories. This week, we are featuring Jessica Kappelman.

Get to know Jessica:

Jessica has been a member with us for about 9 months and comes 5 times a week. You’ll see her on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the morning and in the evening on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She is a hard worker and adds to the positivity of whatever group training she is at.

1. Tell us about yourself, your family/profession.

My husband’s name is Keyur, and we have 3 kids – Navya (6), Rowen (4), and Easton (7 months) I am a physician; dermatologist. I have my own practice, Kappelman Dermatology, in North Plainfield that has been open for 2 years.

2. Tell us about your sports/fitness background.

I was a gymnast at a young age, until I entered high school. My high school didn’t have a team, so I decided to be a cheerleader, which was perfect for me. People may think being a cheerleader is girly and easy, but it requires endurance and strength.

3. What are the results you’ve seen since being at TLF?

I did “bootcamp” classes for almost a year at another gym before coming to TLF. I was pregnant at the time and I am proud to say I worked out until the day I delivered my baby. I was back to working out 2 weeks after delivery and back to my pre-pregnancy weight after 1 month. Once I joined TLF, my number drastically changed. I dropped 8 lbs and 7{019a6cb0b70768d113d258b8e9390536ddf3ccb554e689564970a5272ba59677} body fat in just 2 months. I am more fit now that I have been in my entire life. I have more energy and feel good about myself. That is all I ever wanted.

4. What part of TLF has been the most helpful?

The encouragement from the trainers and other members at TLF. They push me

5. What’s your favorite healthy food?

Apples and peanut butter, frozen blueberries

6. What’s your favorite cheat food?

French fries, beer… is that a food?

7. Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

I am a country music fanatic. My goal is to go to at least 1 country concert per month.
